SPACE WEATHER AT NOAA

NOAA and SWPC solar scanAs a part of the federal government's Space Weather Prediction Center, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA, U.S. Department of Commerce), maintain extensive dashboards for satellite and space weather enthusiasts. Space weather generally refers to the dynamic conditions in space closest to the earth. Instruments track and record space weather's effects to life and technology on Earth caused by the electromagnetic radiation that comes from the sun.

The Space Weather Dashboard is organized according to several categories: Solar, Solar Wind, Geospace, Ionosphere, and Solar Cycles. You can find live visually enhanced reports of Solar Proton Flux, Geomagnetic Activity, Solar Light, Solar X-rays, Solar Winds, Aurora forecasts, and more.
